Munchi Pancakes is a halal-certified Singapore-grown brand specialising in traditional Min Jiang Kueh (also known as Apam Balik) with a modern twist.
Founded in 2016, Munchi Pancakes has since grown to over 42 outlets across Singapore!
Humble Beginnings,
This is our Origin Story.
What started as a love for a traditional Singapore snack slowly grew into a mission: to preserve heritage, serve good food, and to keep innovating so this beloved snack can live on for generations.
Our founders, Calvyn and Au, were childhood friends. They used to frequent a Min Jiang Kueh stall in their neighbourhood in Yishun.
Years went by, then one day, a simple thought came up — why not keep the traditional snack they love alive?
From customers, they became owners of a hawker stall in Yishun selling Min Jiang Kueh. With new ideas like innovative fillings, charcoal and green tea–flavoured skin, they gave the traditional snack a second life by starting Munchi Pancakes.
Today, it's their greatest joy to seeing people of all ages — young and old — enjoying the very same snack they loved as kids.
